Differences in the Theoretical Perspectives of Marx and Arendt in Examining the “Jewish Question”

Although Marx and Arendt approached the“Jewish question” from different perspectives and focal points, they share certain intellectual connections. They analyze the Jewish question within the context of society and politics, focusing on the social exclusion and political constraints faced by Jews in modern society. Marx emphasizes the impact of capitalist society on the status of Jews, while Arendt is more concerned with the situation of Jews as a minority group in democratic states. Despite their different focuses and methodologies, both attempt to understand the Jewish question from the standpoint of social and political structures. This paper will explore the similarities and differences between the two in addressing this complex social issue.
